While living in Canada, sun protection felt effortless. People didn't pause their day to protect themselves—it was built into what they wore.

Returning to India, the contrast was clear. Sun protection often meant sunscreen—applied, reapplied, and waited on. It took time. It felt uncomfortable. And most days, it was skipped.

But the sun doesn't wait.

The Idea

Why should staying protected from the sun feel like a separate task?

Tuque was born from the everyday challenge of spending long hours outdoors in the Indian sun. Inspired by the experience of a dedicated marathon runner, we began looking for a better way to make sun protection part of what you already wear.

The answer was simple: clothing designed with protection built in.
